What does it take to make the first Olympic skateboarding team?

Unwrapped was Chipotle’s series of short films with its partner athletes, made in the run-up to the Tokyo Olympics, the Games where skateboarding made its debut. Each one goes behind the scenes on what it takes to compete at the top, and the series launched alongside new items on Chipotle’s digital menu. This is Jagger Eaton’s, delivered in June 2021. I was creative director.

Jagger talks to camera in front of a red backdrop set up outdoors, and the film cuts between that and his day: bowl sessions, cruising the street with friends, the driving range, an ice bath, and a burrito. Footage of him skating as a kid runs through it.

That July, Jagger won bronze in men’s street skateboarding in Tokyo. The film runs a minute.
